The sun is shining in Sydney and you can just tell our marvellous city is gearing up for a super summer ahead. Daylight Savings is just around the corner and that means long afternoons and even longer post-work catch ups. And this is a super weekend indeed, with the AFL and NRL Grand Finals both taking place – catch every mark and try at The Eddy.
AFL Grand Final
Sydney Swans vs. Western Bulldogs
Patrick Dangerfield may be celebrating his Brownlow win, but it ain’t over yet, with the Grand Final weekend upon us. The Sydney Swans take on the Western Bulldogs in their third Grand Final in five years. Come and show your support for Sydney’s finest this Saturday, with opening bounce at 2.30pm. Our kitchen will be ready to cure those cravings, our homemade potato scallops are perfectly washed down with a cold one.
NRL Grand Final
Cronulla Sharks vs. Melbourne Storm
Cronulla may not be Sydney’s favourite team, but as the last Sydney side standing and a date in the Grand Final against Melbourne there is no better time for Sydneysiders to get behind the Sharkies on their quest to win a maiden premiership. There will be plenty of time to grab a drink and order your meal before Sunday’s kick off at 7:15pm.

Archibald, Wynn and Sulman Prizes

Sydney’s favourite art award is back again this year, with politicians, celebrities, sporting heroes and artists all in the mix of this esteemed portrait painting competition.
Vote for your favourite portrait in the People’s Choice award, and see some extraordinary budding talent in the Young Archies, with artists under the age of 18.
And once you have worked up an appetite, come and find a quiet spot at The Eddy to enjoy our work of art, a lip-smacking pork and sage sausage roll. Best coupled with a glass of something from our inspired wine list, or why not try a Lawson’s Cup cocktail, for a real dose of genius?
